Ginger Eng is very active in the sport of billiards that she learned to play when she came to The Villages in 2005. Her favorite game is 8-ball. Last year Ginger started the Tuesday Ladies Doubles 8 & 9-Ball League at Coconut Cove. The League is a handicap league that gives novice lady players a chance to be paired with more experienced players. She is now also hosting a monthly 9-Ball tournament and a monthly Mixed Doubles tournament.
Ginger plays in the Sunday Nite Mixed Doubles, Monday Night 8-ball, Tuesday 8-9 Ball, Wednesday Ladies’ Singles, Thursday Night BCA and enters into the Tournament for Champions on Friday nights at La Hacienda Recreation Center.
Ginger is from Toledo, Ohio. She and her husband, Brad, have lived in Florida since 1970. The couple moved from Port St. Lucie to The Village of Summerhill eight years ago. She has two daughters, one step-son and four grandchildren.
Ginger was a computer programmer and x-ray technician. She also plays golf four times a week and enjoys reading and knitting. Ginger has traveled around the world to China, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Russia, Hawaii, Tahiti and Honduras as well as many other countries.
