The Supinos have lived in the Village of Sabel Chase for six years. Originally from Danvers, MA, they have three children and seven grandchildren. Bob has played billiards since he was eleven years old but Glenda just began playing when they became residents of the Villages.
Bob and Glenda were high school sweethearts and have been married 53 years. His nickname in high school was "Supe". Bob served in the Army and spent time in Korea then worked for General Motors in their sales division. Glenda had several jobs, one being a bank teller.
Bob is one of the VBC instructors at the Village Lifelong Learning College and also gives free lessons at the Captiva Recreation Center. He enjoys playing golf, pickleball and cards. One of Bob’s interests is making videos for special occassions. He has made several videos for weddings, anniversaries, and also for particular club functions. He adds special music and text to his work -- very professional. Glenda plays Mahjong and enjoys different kinds of card games. She plays golf every Sunday morning with the “Swing and Swear Golf Girls” and is one of their stars.
Bob and Glenda are very happy that their daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Robert Elliot, and their children will be moving into the Village of Parkwood. The grandchildren, Joshua is 11 years old and Rachel is 9, are both home-schooled. Glenda and Bob were also pleased to learn that one of their granddaughters has been accepted in a program out of Washington, DC called “Teach for America”. She will begin teaching in Mississippi this fall.
